I switched to sugar-free coffee syrup in my coffee after noticing that my delicious hazelnut or chocolate or French vanilla creamer was more than just tasty. It was loaded with sugar and calories. Maybe not as many calories as I might take in if I were buying coffee-shop coffee but still, the sugar aspect really began bothering me.
I loved adding flavored half and half to that first cup of the day but realized that it might be a bit unhealthy for me. I didn’t see an alternative until I did some searching. Then I discovered that there is a brand of sugar-free coffee syrup. I tried it and it was delicious.
I use a brand called Torani. It is a little pricey but it is so worth it and I figure that I can spend more on my coffee syrup if I am giving up sugar and calories. Besides this, I can make more than just a regular coffee. With syrup, it is easy to make lattes, cappuccinos, and even martinis. In fact, there are lots of drinks that can be made with syrups.
