I started drinking organic India green tea after one of my friends mentioned how I always seemed so stressed out. I had to agree with them. I was working a stressful job and I barely got any sleep. I would always be drinking a cup of coffee to keep myself awake. One of my friends recommended that I give green tea a try because it would reduce some of the stress that I was feeling. He even gave me some to try at home. The tea sounded like any other drink, so I really didn’t think that much about it at the time.
After coming home from a long day of work, I brewed a cup of the tea. It was a different world from the coffee I had been drinking. I felt somewhat more relaxed. About an hour later I went to bed and had some of the best sleep I had had in a long time. The next morning I went back to work feeling calm and relaxed. The work didn’t get any easier, but I didn’t feel so bad during the day like I normally would.
I’m not sure if it was the actual green tea or the fact that I substituted something else for my coffee (I was drinking a lot of coffee) but I did not feel as jittery and anxious and seemed to be able to handle my day better and sleep better at night. I love my coffee and will always drink it but now I replace a cople of cups of coffee each day with green tea. I am also make a consious effort to drink more water.
