I had an aquarium when I was young. If there had been a magnetic fish tank cleaner to do the dirty work it would have made my life a whole lot easier.
These are great for getting rid of the crude on the inside of your tank without getting your hands all wet and smelly! No more hand scrubbing with a nasty algae pad.
How Does A Magnetic Fish Tank Cleaner Work?
Two magnets are required. One magnet has a soft side which attaches to the outside of the tank. The other magnet has a rough texture. This is attached to the inside of the tank. Once the magnets have come in contact with each other you move the outside one around to get rid of the nasty algae.
One tip to keep in mind. Consider the purchase of a magnet that floats in case it accidentally came loose from the outside magnet. It would then float to the top instead of sinking to the bottom of the tank.
Keep in mind it’s very important to get the correct magnetic cleaner for your type of tank. If you have an acrylic tank do not get the glass-type cleaner as some serious scratching could occur on your tank. Magnetic cleaners are available for acrylic tanks. Something else to keep in mind. A larger magnet than what the job requires might be worth it in the long run.
