I love the designs on heat activated mugs. Whenever I make a cup of coffee in the morning, I reach for one of my these mugs. When the hot coffee is poured into them, the outer surface of the mug changes, depending on what is printed there.
One of my favorite mugs is the Hot and Cold Mug. It’s a simple design that displays the world cold in white letters over a blue background when the mug is cold or at a normal temperature. Pouring hot beverages into the mug tuns it white and hot is displayed in red letters. It only costs about $25 online and I love seeing it on winter days.
I also like the Charging Battery Mug because of how it mimics the charging icon found on most devices. On its own, the mug displays an empty battery icon, but when hot liquid is poured in, the color inside the battery changes to show five green cells. As the temperature cools back down, the green fades to black again, just like when the battery icon shows the power slowly draining. This one costs around me 10 bucks, which I consider to be quite a steal. I’ve been thinking about getting a Pixel Heart Mug for my sister’s birthday. It’s a mug that looks like a video game heart and becomes full red when the mug is hot.
